hello team! hello team!
now that hso is over, it is time for the OBLIGATORY OVERLY-EMOTIONAL PALHONCHO-WRITTEN TEAM APPRECIATION POST.
brace yourselves.

anyways, hso 2012 is officially over!! we came in 18th place fancy stylizing included. 18th place, 121 teams. is that cool or is that cool?!
also we have a fancy banner too!!

anyways, onto the drawn-out emotional part of this!! oh no.
you guys are honestly the best team that a kid could ask for, seriously!! like i've said before, i am so so so proud and honored to serve as your palhoncho!! salute
this hso's been really good to us, i mean come on. we are all buddy buddy and we are even in each other's pixel families. and you guys deal with my constant rping and all too wow geez. also you guys dealt with the pizza u__u
there have been some great great moments in hso!! like that time bruce wouldn't sleep and i made a petition and it got signed by professor oak and tavros and people. and then that time we all flipped our shits over dirk and roxy holding hands or that time we all called to hear each other's nonexistent accents.
a moment for tumblr user fyeahdavespritescloaca for inspiring all of us as well.
anyways every one of us have done so much for hso and even with ridiculous main round bonuses in tow, we managed to claw our way to 18th place!! i seriously love all of you guys so much omg <>
unfortunately there will be no hso next year but if there was rest assured we will be one team under the comm name cool_cats, definitely. that was the plan.
even though hso is over do not assume that we are going our separate ways i will still not shut up in the skype group and smother you all with my 14 year old love ok.
i will be on the plane home tomorrow so then we will be in remotely similar timezones and yes. we will be COOL CATS and SIMPLY THE BEST OF PALS.

Alright, so I did another little flip turn with the RNG! Important points to note:

Branch 1's half will be first in the team entry.
Branch 1 will be Roxy-centric, while Branch 2 will be Dirk-centric.
Each branch is encouraged to stay as close to the 1500 word count, 2 images limit as possiblehe . This includes image descriptions!
The prompt is Derse, so whether you use recent updates to your advantage or not, stick to that prompt!
The entry should be written in second person, present tense.

I've already set up a Skype group and Gdocs for Branch 1, so please check that out if you will! uwu

ROUND THREE: BALANCING ACT

Alright, so the Round Three prompt is up and above! Our Round Two entry was, as everyone can admit, totally badass. And I am pretty hellbent on doing just as well, if not better this time!
Anyways, I've come up with a possible idea to make this round slightly more fun.

The idea I had, essentially, was to split our team up into two separate branches, and have them each work on one half (1500 word fic, 2 images) with one set prompt. Using the list in the Great Post of Tumblrs, I stuck a RNG into it and got the following:

BRANCH ONE: dejup, Alymira, abominablebebop, emmajb
BRANCH TWO: pyrokineticvampire, paradigm, imuddyr, moronicat

The prompt, if we go along with this, would be DERSE.

Branches are not allowed to communicate with each other regarding Round 3. Please keep as close to the 1500, 2 image limit as possible, since the idea is to have our separate parts be balanced together! Recent updates should leave us with a LOT to work with, after all.

So after a good 48 hours of procrastination, the actual fic for our (UNOFFICIAL, UNLESS EVERYONE IS OKAY WITH USING IT) Round 2 submission is through it's first draft! The link to the Google Docs is here. If you aren't invited yet and would like to be, please contact me or Dr. Banner (pyrokineticvampire) or like, anyone in the docs haha.
(Preferably Bruce because they know what they're doing.)

Anyways, what I meant to say here was now that the first draft is done, there are two types of people we need. You got it.

BETAS and ARTISTS!

There are four slots for illustrations in the fic, and a list on the Gdocs itself. If you'd like to draw or edit for us, please leave your Dreamwidth username on that list as well as what part you're planning on illustrating if you have a preference. If you aren't on the doc, contact me on Skype or Tumblr (both are minksinthewoods) and tell me so I can stick you there!

Betas are free to come and go! Leaving constructive criticism is totally okay. Editing the doc is totally okay. This is a group effort, so seriously, do whatever you think is right for the team!!

This is also mentioned on the doc itself, but I'm leaving for China the day that the submissions are due, so we may have to hand it in early! Please have the artwork done by July 6th, if possible. I usually conk out any time from 1 to 3 AM EST.

Round Two is now officially up, and I have stopped being brain dead long enough to introduce a fancy-shmancy BRAINSTORMING POST!

Basically, the point is to bring up ideas and stuff for submissions, and possibly ask for people to collab or work together! One cool idea is to use a Google Docs document to have multiple members contribute at once.

Knock yourselves out! This round seems much easier than the first one, and now that we're in the thick of things, we can all ~~finally learn what to do especially if you are me~~ get to work together and create really cool things!

Hey guys! As of now, Main Round 1, the collab round, and Bonus Round 1 are up, so it's finally time to detail how we're going to submit stuff!

Any and all entries you'd like to submit must be tagged "submission" and must be put under a read more cut! So, any fics and art should be stuck under a read more, so that we can keep the comm neat and organized. The subject of the post must have [SUBMISSION] in it as well!

However, above the cut should be a small blurb for what you're posting! The format is as follows:

Title: (if applicable)
Type of Media: (art, fic, music, etc etc)
Tags: (please refer to the list of triggers!)
Summary: (optional)

So a sample post would look like:

Alright, so right now is our first check-in for the team! I'll be individually messaging all of you on Tumblr and whatever other means you've specified.
