Group welcome, announcements, rules!

catinthehatSup, everyone! We're all united here with a common love of Dirk<>Roxy (C'mon. They're adorable and we all know it.) and a burning desire to prove it! It's great to have all of you here working together, and rules and such are right here underneath the cut! You should probably read them in case.
So I'd like to welcome everyone into the group for Dirk<>Roxy during the HSO 2012 competition!
So let's lay out some ground rules here!
1. Everyone should abide by the Wank Policy. This is simple enough, and we sure don't want a lot of drama and hate erupting here!
2. HSO is meant to be fun, so there isn't any of the my-ship-is-better-than-yours attitude either. We're all homestucks here, so picking fights with other pairings won't do much! Dirk<>Roxy is great, but the point here is to celebrate our ship, not bash on others.
3. Please try to make an effort each round! We each have our strong points in the creative arts. For example, I'm an alright writer and a pretty terrible artist. But in the end, it's still our ship, and we'll appreciate all works of it, so don't be afraid to submit anything! We're here to show everyone our ship, after all, so not submitting anything throughout the contest would dull the excitement of seeing new works for it. In addition, if any constructive criticism is given, please take it in stride, since we're all trying to help.
4. Have fun! I'm hoping that we can all get to know each other better and be great friends, so try to get to know each other and cooperate!
Another few notes I've been meaning to add:
Because I'm palhoncho, I'll be the one submitting the entry for each main round. But we're just like a huge democracy all up in this place, haha! The way the entries will be submitted will be that comments will be left on the works and votes will be cast! About 2 or 3 days prior I will tally the votes and see who gets the most. However, I want to make it as fair as possible, so if your work's already entered for a main round, it can't be entered again. We want to give everyone a fair time in the spotlight here!
However, there are only 3 main rounds. Therefore, we're all going to be working hard on the collab round! As of right now I don't have an idea of what it should be, but I'm open for suggestions and I want something that everyone approves of!
And since we're all going to meet each other, I'm a relatively young NYC homestuck. My tumblr is minksinthewoods if anyone's curious to know, but I rarely tag stuff correctly and I'm kind of a pooplord. Giraffes are my favorite animals, I'm pretty fond of a lot of colors, and I own a zip-up Time hoodie. Also, I'm terrible at history.
The bottom line here is that we're all here and willing to work for our ship, so we should all be good sports and do whatever it takes to have the best time possible!
